Day 2 of the SEASONED Conference – Where Science Meets Industry

The second day of the “Food Sensory Science: SEASONED in 4 Seasons” conference, held on June 26, 2025, took participants to a very special location – the Mondelēz International Research, Development & Quality Centre in Bielany Wrocławskie. It was here that guests experienced firsthand how consumer behaviour science and sensory analysis are applied in practice by one of the world’s leading food companies.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art consumer science labs and pilot plant facilities, where new product ideas are brought to life. The day began with a presentation on Mondelēz’s approach to consumer research, followed by a real case study showcasing how sensory data and consumer expectations guide product development.

One of the highlights was the chance to meet and talk with R&D experts from Mondelēz International. During the informal “coffee chat” sessions, participants exchanged experiences with innovation managers and learned more about the global challenges and trends shaping sensory and consumer science.

This industry-focused day was a perfect complement to the scientific sessions of the previous day. It clearly demonstrated the importance of close collaboration between academia and industry and the immense potential of connecting scientific research with real market needs.
